CAPTURING YOUR TINIEST MOMENTS

THE mnm Family Photography MANIFESTO

The small moments matter the most
A family's love is neverending

There is something so valuable about having photographs of your life and your loved ones.  Despite what technology advances have happened, photographs are still what people search for to display when a loved one passes away.  Having photos taken of me with my children every year is truly invaluable.  You truly never know when something can change.

WHY IT MATTERS

So photography has always been an important part of my life. My father was into photography. He was an engineer but before he had kids, he would actually photograph weddings on the weekends sometimes. My dad had quite the collection of film cameras around the house. Then when I was in high school, I had to do a project on someone famous and I chose Ansel Adams. It was the perfect combination of two things that I love – National Parks and Photography. Did you know that my brother also is into photography? He has a passion for travel/landscape photography and has photographed locations all over the world. I guess you could say it makes complete sense that I wound up as a photographer as an adult…..although I took a roundabout way to get here. Read below for more info!

After spending lots of time photographing my daughter, I felt pulled to start documenting other people with my camera.  I held a few model calls to see if I liked it and I fell in love.  From that point on, I focused 100% on growing my business!

...more exciting things to come!

Once I had my daughter, I decided to be a stay at home mom.  I wanted to start documenting every single moment of her life.  I received a DSLR camera for my first mother's day and it changed the course of my life forever.

Becoming a mom was the best day of my life.  Being a mom gives me purposes and truly completes me.

I loved my time at Millersville University.  I even played on the Women's Soccer team there.  Never in a million years thought I'd become a portrait photographer!

THROUGH THE YEARS

Mnm Family PHOTOGRAPHY

I love my dogs and can't ever imagine not having a dog in my home.  Right now, we have two dogs.  Betty - a black lab mix - who is 8 years old.  We almost lost her this spring when she swallowed a rope toy whole!  We also have Elsa - a 6 month old golden retriever puppy.  She is so loving and full of joy but also full of lots of crazy puppy energy.

I am a diehard fan of the Eagles and Phillies.  I also love the Flyers but I won't lie....their downfall has made my interest drop a bit over the past few years.  As for the Phillies and Eagles, you can find me trying to watch as many games as I possibly can.  I even have Eagles season tickets and my family has had them for years!  I even enjoy listening to sports radio when driving my kids all around!

My true happy place is at the beach.  There's something about the sand in my toes, the ocean breeze in my hair and the sound of the waves crashing along the beach that make me feel at peace.  There's been a lot of turmoil in my life lately but the beach still remains the one place I feel truly and completely at peace.

I absolutely love to travel.  Before I had kids, I would travel all over the globe.  Countries that I visited include Tanzania, Argentina, Italy, Ireland, Greece, France, Mexico, St. Lucia, Jamaica and more.  I also have traveled quite a bit across our beautiful country.  Visiting our National Parks is also one of my favorite things to do.  But lately, I have to admit that Disney has been on the top of my places to visit.

TRAVEL

Slow mornings don't come around too often these days.  With two kids involved in ice related sports (ice hockey and figure skating), there are a lottttttt of early mornings at the rink on the weekends.  But when the schedules line up and I can make it happen, I adore a nice slow wakeup.  No alarm.  Just laying in bed after I naturally wake up.  And then the best part, having my kids come join me in bed after we all get up to be lazy and watch TV.
