{Philadelphia Wedding Photographer}
Kate and Marc….where do I even begin! There’s something so amazing about how this job allows me to connect up with old friends. Life may take you in different directions and you can sometimes lose touch with people that you liked and that you were friends with. Luckily, this job has brought so many old friends back into my life. Kate is a perfect example of this! Not many of you know that I was a geologist before I started my photography company. Completely random. I know. I used to work as a consultant for the Philadelphia Water Department working on stream restoration. During my time there, I met Kate. She was assigned to the Water Dept during her co-op at Drexel. We spent maybe a year or two as co-workers and friends. Then of course, life took us on different paths until she contacted me and asked if I would be her wedding photographer! I was beyond honored and excited that she trusted me to document such an important milestone in her life. I met her (at the time) fiance Marc at our engagement session in the summer of 2017 for the first time. It was abundantly clear during that session that Kate and Marc were madly in love with each other. It’s always comforting to know that your friend has chosen the right person to spend the rest of her life with! Their wedding day was in January of 2018. I never found the time to blog their wedding and I thought their one year anniversary would be the perfect time!
Kate and Marc chose to have a winter wedding not in Philadelphia, but up in the Poconos. They chose the beautiful Stroudsmoor Country Inn as the venue for their big day. I was excited to travel up to the Poconos for their wedding but I was totally shocked when I found out that their ceremony was going to be held outside. That’s right. You read that right. They decided to have their January wedding ceremony OUTSIDE! That was definitely a first for me! As you can see in the images below, you’ll quickly see why they chose to have their ceremony outside. The ceremony location overlooked a beautiful valley that it almost made you forget that it was winter! Everything about their day was perfect. There was so much excitement and love being showered over them by friends and family. There was also quite a bit excitement about the Philadelphia Eagles who were going to be in the Super Bowl!
Let’s start with one of my favorites from their big day!
And here are the rest!
