Now that my busy season is finally over, I have a chance to truly enjoy the holidays with my own children.  Anyone who knows me knows that Christmas is my absolute most favorite holiday of the year!  I love it and can’t get enough of it.  I love it even more now that I have kids of my own.  It’s so amazing to see this holiday all over again through the eyes of my children.  Everything is so exciting and so amazing to them.  There truly is something magical about this time of year.  First and foremost, this holiday is about celebrating the birth of Jesus which I think my daughter is finally starting to understand a little bit this year.  Second, comes the excitement of Santa Claus!  What Christmas holiday isn’t complete without baking cookies for Santa?!!!  Another thing that I love is baking so when you combine Christmas and baking….I’m a happy camper!!  I love it!!!

This weekend I had the joy of baking cookies for Santa with my own daughter.  She was such an wonderful little helper.  She was so focused on baking these cookies.  It was cute to see how into the whole process she was.  I think her cookies turned out pretty great.  I have a feeling Santa is going to love them!  Being a photographer, of course I had to document the whole process and I’m so glad that I did.  I hope my daughter looks back on these photos one day and sees how much fun she had.  The only thing that I would change about these photos is that next year, I’m going to have my husband take a few photos with me in them!

I absolutely love photographing these lifestyle sessions.  So much so that I might try to offer some Christmas lifestyle sessions next year to my clients.  It’s such a fun way to document traditions like baking together and decorating the tree!  I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and enjoy making memories with your own family!!
