It’s that time of year again and I can’t believe it. The end of summer has come and we are transitioning into the unofficial start of fall. Seriously where did the time go? In years past, I’ve announced these sessions a little bit earlier in the summer but this summer I truly wanted to spend as much time as possible with my family. I figured announcing my fall minis at the end of August instead of the middle wouldn’t hurt anything. 🙂

So this year, I do plan to offer quite a few different types of minis. Fall minis, Christmas Truck Minis (both day and night), Santa minis and even Christmas Tree Farm Minis. This blog post will be covering the Fall Minis and Christmas Truck Minis only. I’ll speak about the details of each of these minis below. Please be sure to read each section thoroughly as I will be going over the details and expectations for each type of session.

The dates and times for my minis will be listed all the way at the bottom of this email. I will be opening up booking for all of these sessions at 9pm on Wednesday, August 28th. Please email at that time with the type of mini you’d like, the date of the mini you are interested in as well as your preferred time slot. I will email you back at some point on Thursday to let you know if you claimed a spot.

RAIN DATE for all of these sessions (except night truck minis) will be held at the same time on the Sunday after your scheduled mini session. You will need to commit to both the scheduled date as well as the rain date in order to book.

Also, mark your calendars for Santa minis on November 2nd & 3rd. And Christmas Tree Farm minis will most likely be held on November 16th (just need to confirm with the farm). I’ll announce booking for these minis at the end of September.

FALL MINIS!

I will be offering three dates of fall minis. These minis will be 25 minutes long and include 5 digital images. There will be the option to upgrade and purchase more images if interested. The cost for these minis will be $250+tax. These will all be held either in Chester Springs or at a neighboring town. The exact location for the minis will be determined as we get closer to the date of the mini sessions. This way, I can select the best location for foliage (or if it’s another wet fall, the driest location). I cannot predict the amount of color in the trees (or lack thereof) on the dates of these minis. There is a chance that the location could be the same as what we used last year. Also, in order to fit in a bunch of back to back minis, some of the earlier time slots might have to take place in shaded areas if the sun is too bright that day. Even though these sessions are called Fall Minis, it does not necessarily mean that beautifully colored leaves and trees will be in the background. These are simply a short session being held during the fall. I will be choosing the best locations that give me options to shoot earlier in the afternoon than I normally do. This means that sometimes buildings or shaded areas will be used in your pictures to help get the best lighting in your photos. These fall minis are limited on time so there will not be a ton of different variety of backgrounds during the sessions. If you truly want to have a large variety of backgrounds from your session, then maybe a fall mini might not be the best choice and instead you should contact me about scheduling a Deluxe Session (an hour long session). This brings up another point…..If you have children that you know might take a while to warm up to new people and surroundings, again, a short mini session might not be the most successful option for your family. These sessions go by fast and I cannot extend the time of your session if your children happen to not be cooperating that day.

These sessions will be a great way to document you together as a family. We will try our best to get a few smiling and looking at the camera pictures. However, if you follow my work, please don’t expect for your entire session to be spent doing posed pictures. My style as a photographer is to capture real moments of your family interacting. I might not be the best choice for you if you want basically the whole session filled with posed pictures. That’s not really my thing anymore!

With all of these qualifications aside, I truly am excited to work with your families this year. I just wanted to make sure that people know what they are signing up for!

CHRISTMAS TRUCK MINIS!

Christmas Truck Minis will be held on my property in Chester Springs, PA. I will have the truck decorated for Christmas. I’ll have some lighter colored Christmas decorations/pillows, some white and black buffalo plaid print mixed in and some Christmas trees. These sessions are super short and sweet. We’ll try to get some cute posed pictures on the truck and then spend the rest of the time getting a little more candid shots. These are perfect sessions for getting that cute holiday card picture! Again, please keep in mind that if your child takes a long time to warm up to new people, this might not be the most successful option for you.

I’ll be offering one day of morning truck sessions. I’ll also be offering one night of truck sessions which will be at night and include lit up Christmas trees and twinkle lights over the trucks. These sessions are 15 minutes long and include 3 digital images with the option to upgrade and purchase more images if interested. The cost for these minis will be $199+tax.
